Terms of Service

Welcome to DigitalPlat Domain (“we”, “our”, or “the Organization”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit project offering public subdomain registration. By using this service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not accept any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the platform.
1. Nonprofit nature & community commitment
DigitalPlat Domain operates under a nonprofit public-interest model. Our mission is to support a free, open, and censorship-resistant DNS infrastructure accessible globally. Services are provided on a best-effort basis and rely on volunteer time, community resources, and donated infrastructure.
2. Service availability & disclaimer
We do not guarantee uptime, root zone inclusion, or uninterrupted DNS propagation.
DNS resolution may be interrupted due to:
- Registry-level actions (e.g., serverHold, clientHold, policy suspension)
- External abuse reports (e.g., phishing, malware complaints)
- Inclusion or removal from the Public Suffix List (PSL)
- Blacklisting by security vendors or infrastructure providers
- Internal policy enforcement or abuse mitigation
The platform may suspend, revoke, or stop serving your domain without prior notice in cases of serious or unresolved abuse. The Organization is not liable for damages or data loss arising from service use or interruption.
3. Registrant responsibility
As a registrant, you are responsible for all use of your subdomain, including:
- Hosting content that complies with local and international law.
- Avoiding abusive behavior such as impersonation, malware, or fraud.
- Responding promptly to policy violations or abuse inquiries.
- Maintaining accurate contact information.
- Protecting your domain against misuse by third parties (e.g., reverse proxies).
You are expected to monitor and maintain the security of your domain proactively.
4. Acceptable use
We may reject, suspend, or delete any domain that violates our Acceptable Use Policy, including:
- Hosting phishing, malware, impersonation, or criminal content.
- Registering brand-sensitive short prefixes without permission.
- Automating or circumventing registration processes.
- Providing false or misleading information.
- Reverse-proxying third-party services to mimic identity.
We may act without notice in urgent cases to mitigate harm or reputational risk.
5. Registration verification & one-time service fee
To protect the platform’s integrity, applicants may be required to complete identity verification (“Know Your Customer” or KYC) and/or pay a one-time non-refundable service fee (“KYC Key”) prior to activation.
- The KYC Key is non-refundable under any circumstance.
- The KYC Key is non-transferable and tied to the verified party.
- Submitting a KYC Key does not constitute a sale or guarantee of service.
- KYC information is handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. We do not resell or share personal KYC data except as legally required or for abuse investigation.
Your submission of a KYC Key constitutes acceptance of these terms.
6. Suspension & abuse resolution
We make reasonable efforts to notify domain holders before enforcement actions, but we may immediately suspend or revoke domains when:
- Serious abuse is detected.
- Contact attempts fail.
- Law enforcement or registry intervention is required.
- Abuse threatens platform stability or public security.
Failure to respond promptly to abuse notices may lead to permanent removal.
